| Who on Earth is Forbes Robbins Blair? My passion is spiritual attainment, which some call Realization or Salvation or The Great Work. At one time in my life I was a fundamentalist Christian. And while I still retain many values and beliefs of that religion, I found that it lacked coherency and couldn't satisfactorily answer some basic questions about who we mortals are and what we are doing here. Disillusioned, I began searching alternative information sources about personal attainment and spiritual wisdom. I studied Huna (Polynesian metaphysics) for a few years through a wonderful but now defunct mystery school called Cosmic Wisdom. (I know it's a funny name, but it was created during the hippie-60's, so what do you expect? lol) I I learned a great deal with Huna and they introduced me to some of the principles and techniques of the Western Mystery Tradition, which I study to this day with the organization called Builders of the Adytum (www.BOTA.org). Its emphasis is on the Hermetic Kabbalah. It's not for everyone, but I have found it to be a perfect fit for me -- at this point in my journey. |

experimenting with it one day. What would happen, I suggested to myself, if I had
forgotten how to swallow. Soon I was absolutely shocked to discover I could not
swallow! Talk about a revelation!
To break this "spell" I had to force myself to remember to swallow to make the power
of that suggestion break away so I could return to normal. That experience gave me
working knowledge that hypnosis -- despite Penn and Teller's and all of the other
debunkers claims -- is very real, making personal easy and effective for almost
everyone. Shortly thereafter I set up shop as a clinical hypnotherapist.
During the first few years in my professional career, I stumbled onto a way to
hypnotize yourself with your eyes open while reading out loud. I developed it into a

A couple of years later I made a second hypnosis-related discovery about turning
everyday activities into powerful self-empowerment rituals. That discovery led to a
second book: Self-Hypnosis Revolution: The Amazingly Simple Way to Use
Self-Hypnosis to Change Your Life.
Since the publication of the books, I've appeared on local and national radio and
television programs for my expertise in both hypnosis and dreams.
